FESTIVAL SLAVENSKIH KULTURA

Umjetnost ruši barijere jezika, kultura i nacionalnosti. Jedan od dokaza je i drugi po redu Festival slavenskih kultura, „SLAVistika u Europi“, u trajanju od 25. do 27. studenog. Organizatori festivala su Hrvatsko slavističko društvo i Klub studenata južne slavistike A-302. Glavni cilj ovog festivala  su razmjene ideja i znanja mladih znanstvenika i studenata različitih struka na okruglim stolovima. Uz to, festival nudi i uživanje u brojnim umjetničkim ostvarajima iz svih područja. Tako je na samom otvorenju Festivala slavenskih kultura na Filozofskom fakultetu istodobno otvorena i izložba fotografija „Stopama Filipa Kovačevića“. Prigodni domjenak učinili su još ugodnijim članovi benda DVD 3io.

     Dekan Filozofskog fakulteta Damir Boras obratio se gostima ne skrivajući zadovoljstvo zbog odaziva. „Bit ćemo jako sretni da dolazite i ubuduće. Ovo je već drugi puta, a dobit ćemo , nadam se, i potporu za sljedeću godinu od Ministarstva kulture u još većem obujmu. Nadam se da će nas doći i iz drugih zemalja još više i  da ćemo moći osigurati da ovaj festival bude mjesto druženja nego i razmjene znanja i budućih prijateljstava.“, izjavio je dekan.

     Nakon okruglih stolova koji su se održavali u petak i subotu na Filozofskom fakultetu, u Klubu SC i Klubu Željezničar održane su razne svirke i zabave. Jedan od najupečatljivijih nastupa imala je ženska vokalna grupa Čipkice, čije članice pjevaju tradicijske napjeve iz cijeloga svijeta.

     Posjetivši festival, lako se možemo povezati sa ostalim pripadnicima slavenskih naroda i kultura, te shvatiti koliko toga imamo zajedničkog. Razlike to povezivanje samo čine zanimljivijim.

SLAVIC CULTURE FESTIVAL

Art breaks the barrieres of language, culture and ethnicity. One of the proof is the second Festival of Slavic Culture, "Slavistic in Europe", lasting from 25th to 27th November. Festival organizers are the Croatian Slavic Society and the Students Club of South Slavistic A-302. The main goal of this festival is exchanging ideas and knowledge of young scientists and students from different professional backgrounds at round tables. In addition, the festival offers    the many art pieces from all areas. So, at the opening of the Festival of Slavic culture at the Faculty of Philosophy people could enjoy an exhibition of photographs "Footsteps of Filip Kovacevic“. Members of the 3io DVD band made a party even more enjoyable.

     Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Damir Boras, spoke to the guests, not hiding his satisfaction. "We will be very happy if you come in the future. This is the second time, and we will get the support for next year by the Ministry of Culture in an even greater extent. I hope that next year more people will come, and that this festival will be a place of gathering, but also to exchange knowledge and future friendships“, said Dean.

     After the round tables were held on Friday and Saturday at the Faculty of Philosophy, the Students Centre Club and Club Željezničar held a variety of music and entertainment. One of the most memorable performances had Čipkice, the female vocal group, whose members sing traditional songs from all around the world.

     By visiting this festival, we can easily connect with other members of the Slavic nations and cultures, and realize how much we have in common. Differences make this connection only more interesting.

"FLOURESCENTNE FORMACIJE"

     Centar za kulturu Trešnjevka je od utorka, 23. studenog, mjesto na kojem se može vidjeti neuobičajena izložba mlade umjetnice Maje Cipek pod nazivom „Flourescentne formacije“. Nevelika galerija Modulor u samom Centru okupila je na otvorenju četrdesetak zainteresiranih. Čuo se žamor dobrog raspoloženja, fotoaparati su bljeskali, a umjetnica pozirala ispred svojih radova. Ti radovi postaju vidljivi tek nakon što ih se osvijetli flourescentnom rasvjetom. Maja Cipek koristila je za ova djela samo osnovne geometrijske oblike- pravokutnike. Njihovo stapanje u različitim dimenzijama i položajima stvara privid hladnih oblika koje publika najčešće percipira kao bušilice, osovine, strojeve. Uz pomoć flourescentne lampe platna Maje Cipek postaju lelujavo treperenje pravokutnih formi. Te forme ona je gotovo lišila kolora, koristeći samo nekoliko boja, onoliko koliko je nužno. Ključ ove serije radova je u tome da ih svaki pojedinac doživljava drugačije, koristeći vlastitu percepciju i imaginaciju. Autorica se tako igra granicama vidnog polja.

     Sama umjetnica vrlo je zanimljiva pojava, te svojim izgledom kao da označava pripadnost umjetničkim krugovima. Diplomirala je na Tekstilno-tehnološkom fakultetu te Akademiji likovnih umjetnosti, oboje u Zagrebu. Iza sebe ima dvadesetak skupnih i samostalnih izložbi, te jednu modnu reviju.

Izložba „Flourescentne formacije“ otvorena je do 10. prosinca.

    

"FLOURESCENT FORMATIONS"

     Tuesday, 23 November, is the beginning of unusual exhibition of young artist Maja Cipek called "Fluorescent Formations”.  A small gallery Modulor in the Cultural Center Trešnjevka gathered at the opening around forty interested. There was the murmur of good cheer, cameras were flashing, and the artist posed in front of her works. These works become visible only after they are lighting up with fluorescent lights. Maja Cipek used for these works only basic geometric shapes-rectangles. Their fusion of different sizes and positions creates the illusion of a cold forms that the audience often perceived as engines or machines. With the help of fluorescent lamps Maja’s panels become swaying flicker of rectangular shapes. She deprived these forms of colorism, using only a few colors, as long as necessary. The key to this series of works is that every individual experiences them differently, using their own perception and imagination. The author also plays with the limits of the visual field.

     Artist’s look is also very interesting. Her appearance tells to us that she moves in artistic circles. She graduated from the Faculty of Textile Technology and the Academy of Fine Arts, both in Zagreb. He has two dozen group and solo exhibitions and a fashion show.

The exhibition "Fluorescent formations" is open until 10 December.

CIRQUE DU SOLEIL- SALTIMBANCO

                Dugoočekivani cirkus napokon je stigao u Zagreb! Cirque du Soleil ili u prijevodu Sunčani cirkus donio je tračak sunca i veselja za sve one koji su odlučili posjetiti Arenu i uživati u predstavi koja se izvodi još od 1992. godine. Ime predstave,  „Saltimbanco“ , označava uličnog performera, „onog koji skače na klupi“. S nekoliko prijatelja odgledala sam predstavu prvu večer gostovanja cirkusa i istinski uživala. Sve što sam čula o njemu bilo je da dolazi iz Kanade, da postoji od 1984. godine, i da je to najveći i „najekološkiji“ putujući cirkus na svijetu. Cirque du Soleil, naime, ne koristi životinje u svojim predstavama. Ono čime oduševljavaju publiku diljem svijeta su plesne točke, neuobičajene vještine, akrobacije, ples, humor i maštoviti unikatni kostimi.

     Iako je fotografiranje i bilo kakvo snimanje bilo najstrože zabranjeno, nisam mogla uskratiti barem dijelić prekrasnih prizora čitateljima ovog bloga. Predstava „Saltimbanco“ sastavljena je od devet točaka. Oko pedeset izvođača porijeklom iz cijeloga svijeta izvodilo je naizmjence točke koje su mamile uzdahe oduševljenja i točke koje su mamile salve smijeha. Primjerice, nakon spektakla s trapezima, na red bi došao čovjek koji zvukovima, mimikom i gestama može odglumiti što god mu padne na pamet, i pri tom nasmijati publiku svih dobnih skupina. Svirka  vlastitog benda i izvrsna pjevačica upotpunili su predstavu onako kako to rade pravi umjetnici. Jedino što se može zamjeriti je kratkoća trajanja predstave. Ipak, jedan sat i četrdeset pet minuta ne zvuči malo. Malo je bilo jedino onome kome je cijeli show prebrzo prošao.  A to je i više nego dobar znak da je predstava zaista bila vrijedna gledanja i divljenja.

     The long awaited circus has finally arrived to Zagreb! Cirque du Soleil or The Sun Circus in English has brought a ray of sunshine and joy to all those who have decided to visit the Arena Zagreb and enjoy the show which is running since 1992. Name of the show, "Saltimbanco", means a street performer, "the one who jumps on the bench". I watched the play with a few friends of mine the first evening of performers visitation and we all truly enjoyed. Everything I heard about Cirque du Soleil was that it comes from Canada, exists since 1984, and that it is the largest and the most „ecological“ traveling circus in the world. Cirque du Soleil, in fact, does not use animals in their performances. It delight audiences around the world with dance numbers, unusual skills, acrobatics, dance, humor and imaginative handmade costumes.

     Although photograping and any recording were strictly forbidden, I had to show to the readers of this blog at least a fraction of beautiful scenes. The show "Saltimbanco" has nine parts. About fifty performers from all over the world alternate performed numbers that attracted the enthusiastic gasps and numbers that attracted the big laughter. For example, after the spectacle with trapezes, it was time for a the man whose sounds, mime and gestures can fake whatever come to his mind, and by that make audience of all ages laugh. Playing of their own band and a great vocalist completed the play as the real artists do. The only thing I can blame is the short duration of the show. However, one hour and forty five minutes doesn't sound too short. It was too short only for ones who forgot about the time during the show. And this is more than a good sign that the play was really worth watching and admiring.
