ŠKOLA ANIMIRANOG FILMA ČAKOVEC

Mnogi zaljubljenici u sedmu umjetnost upoznati su sa radom Škole animiranog filma, popularnog ŠAF-a, iz Čakovca. No, neki možda i ne znaju da iz malog studija smještenog u vrhu zgrade Centra za kulturu Čakovec već 35 godina izlaze maštoviti uradci školaraca vođenih iskusnim Edom Lukmanom i njegovom desnom rukom Jasminkom Ljubić-Bijelić. Ti uradci vrlo brzo dospiju na velike ekrane domaćih i stranih revija i festivala, te bivaju prepoznati kako od strane stručnih povjerenstava, tako i od auditorija diljem svijeta.

     „Krenuli smo kao „podstanari“ u dječjem odjelu Gradske knjižnice, da bi izgradnjom Centra za kulturu dobili ove sadašnje prostorije koje smo jako dobro opremili. U posljednjih desetak godina ŠAF je uspio skupiti opremu koja nam omogućava da radimo kompletnu produkciju, i to vrlo kvalitetnu, a po potrebi i profesionalnu animaciju.“, objašnjava napredak gospodin Lukman.

ŠAF-ov brzi uzlet dogodio se u vrijeme kad je na mjesto suvoditeljice dospjela Jasminka Ljubić-Bijelić, koja je došla sam kao student informatike 1998. godine. U to vrijeme ŠAF se odlučio na jednu drugačiju koncepciju rada u tehničkom, ne pedagoškom smislu.

     „Dakle te godine ŠAF je krenuo s informatičkom tehnologijom. Nabavljeno je prvo računalo i cjelokupni proces pravljenja filma prešao je na njega. Tijekom godina povećali smo broj računala, informatizirali se, tako da sam ja čak svoj diplomski rad napisala o primjeni informatike u filmskom stvaralaštvu s naglaskom na animirani film. To je bilo nešto sasvim novo i drugačije od standarnog poimanja informatizacije na mom fakultetu.“, kaže Jasminka.

Glavni likovi u ovoj priči ipak su klinci. Kroz ŠAF su prodefilirale mnoge generacije. Koliko god se činilo da je s generacijama s vremenom sve teže i teže raditi, promatrajući lutke i ostale rekvizite koje su djeca vlastoručno izradila, te slušajući o mukotrpnom, ali uzbudljivom radu, može se pomisliti da je rad s djecom na filmskim projektima ipak jedno vrlo posebno zadovoljstvo.

     Možda vam se priča o ŠAF-u čini kao još jedna u nizu slatkih pričica iz provincije, no, ako ste imalo stali i razmislili, vjerojatno ste spoznali da je ŠAF jedna od svijetlih točaka animiranog filma u Hrvatskoj.

ANIMATION FILM SCHOOL ČAKOVEC

     Many fans of the seventh art are familiar with the work of the Animation film school from Cakovec.  Imaginative designs of school children are coming from the small studio located in the top of the building of the Centre for Culture Čakovec. These designs quickly reach the big screens of national and international shows and festivals, and are identified both by expert committees, and the audience around the world. Children are led by experienced Edo Lukman and his co-worker Jasminka Ljubić Bijelić.

     "We started off as "tenants" in the children's ward of the City Library. When the Cultural Centre was built, we got the current premises which are very well equipped. In the past ten years, the School has managed to gather the equipment that allows us to do a full production of a high quality, and if necessary, professional animation", explains the progress Mr. Lukman. 
     The School's rapid ascent took place when Jasminka Ljubić-Bijelić arrived at the place of co-leader. She came as a student of computer science in 1998. At that time, the School decided to use a different conception of work in technical, not pedagogical sense.

     "So that year, School has started with information technology. We purchased the first computer and the entire process of filmmaking has passed on it. Over the years we have increased the number of computers. I even wrote my graduate work based on the application of information technology in filmmaking, with an emphasis on animation. It was something new and different from the notion of standard information technology at my college", says Jasminka. 
     The main characters in this story are still kids. The School have walked through many generations. As much as it seemed that it is more difficult to work with children over time, watching the puppets and other props that the children single-handedly created, and listening to the arduous, but exciting work on the films, it can be concluded that working with children is a very special content. 

     Maybe the story about Animation school seems like one of the many sweet little story from a small town, but if you think over a little bit, you probably know that the Animation Film School Čakovec is one of the bright spots of animated film in Croatia.
